What the project aims to valorize is the starry sky, seen as a collective good to be preserved, by promoting a policy of raising awareness on the issue of light pollution in order to develop the tourist industry of Astro-tourism, area of increasing interest not only for professionals in the field.
This will also contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, as altering the natural day-night rhythm negatively affects the life of animals and plants. This project provides for an ERDF Community contribution of € 776.024,07, together with a total co-financing of € 198.054,93.
Asiago holds the important role of Leader Partner of the project, coordinating the activities of the other three project partners, two located in Italy and one in Austria, respectively the Municipality of Cornedo all’Isarco, the Municipality of Talmassons and the Tyrolean Environmental Defense.
